Answers to Common Queries

How to Use

Dosage: Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Administration:Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew.
Timing:It can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. However, it is best to take it at the same time every day to maintain consistent levels in the body.

How it Works

Atorvastatin in LIPLIX-10 works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in the liver. This enzyme is responsible for the body's internal production of cholesterol. By blocking this process, the liver produces less cholesterol and increases its ability to remove LDL (bad cholesterol) from the bloodstream.

Safety Advice

Pregnancy:Not for use during pregnancy. It may harm the unborn baby. Use effective contraception while on this medication.
Alcohol:Limit alcohol intake, as excessive drinking can increase the risk of liver damage and side effects.
Grapefruit: Avoid consuming large amounts of grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it can increase the concentration of the drug in your blood.
Liver Health:Tell your doctor if you have a history of liver disease.

What if You Forget?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it has been more than 12 hours since the missed dose, skip it and wait for your next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose.

Does LIPLIX-10 cause weight gain?

No, Atorvastatin is not typically associated with weight gain. In fact, it is usually prescribed alongside a weight-management plan.

Can I stop taking LIPLIX-10 once my cholesterol levels are normal?

Can I take this with my blood pressure medicine?
